Irena King
Founder and CEO
- Founding Director and CEO of Surgicure, overseeing staff functions and implementing company strategies.
- BS in Neuroscience and Bioentrepreneurship from American University.
- PhD Candidate in Medical Engineering and Medical Physics at MIT and Harvard Medical School. Healthcare Certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management.
- Participated and led development projects at MIT, BIDMC's Center for Virology and Vaccine Research, American University, Harvard University's Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, and the start-up MicroInvestigate. Projected funded by the NIH and Gates Foundation.
- Data Science and Project Manager at Leading Business Ventures via Mass Life Sciences Data Science Program.
- BostInno 25 Under 25, National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellow, and Amgen Scholar.
- Dedicated to securing medical solutions for patients living with diseases, disabilities, and disorders. Passionate about integrating more effective medical devices into the healthcare system and empowering clinicians innovators.
